The Site Just Got a Full Redesign

Thanks, as always, for stopping by. It's Bubblegum. I've just given the Bubblegum Game portal a complete redesign. Here are the main changes that make everything easier to play and read.

What's new

  • A "What's New" feed ... the top page now shows new games and updates at a glance.
  • Article pages ... you can now read posts like the one you're on right here on the site. From here on I'll be writing game intros and little development notes.
  • Embedded games ... each game can now be played directly on its page here on the site.

Finding your way around

With the redesign done, here's a quick tour of how the site is laid out. If you're here to play, head to the games list. It's a lineup of browser games (a clicker, typing games, and more), all free, no sign-up, and playable the moment you open the page. Each game's page also collects how-to-play notes, strategy tips, and an FAQ, so if it's your first time, that's a good place to start.

The reading material lives on the blog. Posts fall into roughly three types: "Guides" cover how to raise your score and play smart in each game, "Dev Diary" entries record what I was thinking as I built things, and "News" posts are site updates like this one. If you get stuck in a game, reach for a guide; if you're curious about the maker's side of things, peek at a dev diary. Balance tweaks and feature additions for each game are also logged in chronological order on the Updates page.

What's next

Going forward I plan to keep up a pace of about twice a month: new game releases, updates to existing games, and new guide and dev posts. When there's an update, I'll announce it in the top-page What's New feed and here on the blog. If you'd like to know who's behind all this, see my developer profile; for feedback and bug reports, the contact page is the place. And if you feel like it, a bookmark would mean a lot.

Thanks for sticking with Bubblegum Game.
