Soldier Typing is a typing game where every short word you type summons another soldier, and the screen fills up more and more as you go. (It's a Japanese typing game: words appear in hiragana and you type them in romaji.)
Never letting your typing stop is the real strategy
The stars of the show are the soldiers that multiply as you type. The words are on the short side, so don't overthink it: just keep typing without stopping. The moment your hands stop, the summoning stops too, and your forces stall out. Finish one word cleanly, move straight to the next. The faster you keep that cycle turning, the bigger your army swells.
More than raw speed, what matters is not breaking your rhythm on a mistake. Keep your eyes on the screen (the next word) instead of your hands, type at a steady, even pace, and use the shortest romaji spellings (like "shi" as "si" or "tsu" as "tu"). Those three habits keep those short words flowing without a hitch.
Wave 4: don't flinch when the hero crashes in
The first big moment comes at Wave 4. Here, a hero suddenly crashes into your run mid-play. On a first encounter it's easy to freeze up and go "wait, what?", but this is exactly where you must not stop typing. Even if it startles you, keep hammering out words so your soldiers don't run dry. Just knowing the crash-in is coming cuts way down on how often Wave 4 falls apart on you.
Wave 5: this is where your score is decided
Wave 5 has yet another twist in store. In fact, whether you can push your score up or not comes down to how you play Wave 5. The high-score pattern is to bank plenty of soldiers up to this point, then let it all explode in Wave 5.
- Through Wave 4, stockpile your forces. It's the groundwork for detonating everything in Wave 5.
- In Wave 5, don't stop your hands. Keep typing even as the situation shifts. The number you summon here becomes your score.
- Learn the flow each run. The more you repeat it, the clearer it gets where the points really are.
